Acupuncture

Diane Alberga, M.Ac. L.Ac.

Diane started receiving acupuncture 13 years ago and was amazed by its power to assist in personal transformation. This led to her career change as a software engineer to receiving her Masters of Acupuncture from Tai Sophia Institute for Healing Arts in 2003. Her passion grew when she joined the faculty there in 2005. Board certified in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, a member of the Maryland Acupuncture Society and the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association, Diane has also trained in the Battlefield Acupuncture protocol for severe pain. She currently participates as a provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Diane also studies Medicine for the Earth and Healing with Spiritual Light with Sandra Ingerman. Both of these modalities involve the path to personal transformation through energy work.

Susan Bienvenu, M.Ac. L.Ac.
Susan has a simple practice philosophy:  help clients live better through teaching them to understand the root of their illness and methods for alleviating the problems they face. Susan teaches clients that acupuncture can assist the body in healing itself. She coaches clients in changing daily living habits and teaches how these decisions can benefit overall well-being. Helping others become aware of this is an important part of Susan’s healing presence.

Susan came to acupuncture through an auspicious coincidence.  After years of designing computer software with an emphasis on ease of use, she decided to take a more personal approach to helping people by becoming a social worker.  Her spouse heard about Tai Sophia Institute through their acupuncturist, decided to check out the school and asked her along.  From the moment she walked into Tai Sophia, she knew the call to become an acupuncturist was loud and clear.

Susan is a graduate of Tai Sophia Institute and holds both a master's degree in Acupuncture and a master’s degree in Social Work.

Zero Balancing

Stanley Fox
Stanley wants to work with your energy and your body at interface--not to give you energy, nor to take energy away--simply to balance the energy that is inherently there. Zero Balancing is a gentle mind-body treatment modality that uses light finger pressure on a fully clothed client to help align the physical and energetic aspects within the bones and tissues of their body. Clients may experience a deep trancelike state of relaxation, ease tension in their bodies, and find themselves less restricted in their movements.

After studying this hands-on modality for nearly three years under the creator of Zero Balancing, Dr. Fritz Smith, Stanley achieved his certification and is very excited to offer this service. In addition to ZB, Stanley will be completing a Masters of Acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute in the Spring/Summer of 2013. Soon, he will be able to also offer this 5,000 year old form of Chinese Medicine.

ZB allows Stanley to bring a number of benefits to his clients including reduced stress, greater focus and clarity at work, and greater ease in and awareness of their bodies. ZB can also be effective with headaches, backaches, fatigue, symptoms of depression, tension, nervousness, insomnia, and other symptoms arising due to stuck or blocked energy flow.

Stanley offers a gentle and respectful touch as well as a caring heart to assist his clients in becoming more aligned with their physical bodies. Give ZB a try if you are seeking to improve your quality of life through sustained feelings of well-being and clarity.
